Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated 9 August 2026
These terms cover this website and the free tools we publish. Engagements are governed by a separate signed agreement, and nothing here overrides it.
The free tools
Our CMMC tools are provided free and as they are. They are aids to doing compliance work, not a substitute for judgment, and they do not create an advisory relationship between us.
A tool's output is a starting point. Scoping decisions and compliance attestations remain yours, and you are the one signing them.
Content on this site
Articles, guidance and reference material here are general information. They are not legal advice, and regulation in this area moves, sometimes suddenly. We date our pages so you can judge how current something is.
Where we describe a regulatory obligation we try to be accurate and to cite the source. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Test this site or our tools without following our disclosure policy
- Scrape at a volume that degrades the service for others
- Republish our content as your own
Reading, quoting with attribution, and linking are all fine and welcome.
Intellectual property
The content and design of this site belong to APT Security Management. Our agentic platforms are our intellectual property, are used only in our own service delivery, and are not licensed or sold.
Liability
We provide this website and the free tools without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of them.
This limitation applies to the free material on this site. It does not restrict liability under a signed engagement agreement, which sets its own terms.
If you are a client, this is not your contract
These terms cover using this website. They do not govern work we do for you.
Engagements are governed by our Master Services Agreement, which our quotes and statements of work reference directly. Where anything on this page conflicts with that agreement, or with a signed statement of work, that document controls and this one does not.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States.
